Jack has made so much progress since Christmas it feels like. This is just some of what he has been up to.
He can push a car appropriately
He can bear crawl
He can use a toy walker
(although PT doesn't approve of toy)
(although PT doesn't approve of toy)
He can clap for a split second while standing
He can cruise along high objects
He can peek in on little brother
If I had to guess, I'd guess Jack would be walking by the time he is two. But no pressure Jack. When you are ready, we know you will do it.
Two and a half years old is about the average for kids with Down syndrome to walk. Although, Jack's girlfriend Maggie walked at 18 months old. She's setting records! But really folks, it doesn't matter when your beautiful child walks, because it's not like it goes on their resume. =)
That is awesome! Jack is amazing and so adorable!
ReplyDeleteThat's an awesome way to look at it!! I will definitely use that resume line! Avery is 16 months and not crawling. Some days I don't mind and others I get frustrated.
ReplyDeleteGo Jack!
ReplyDeleteJack's girlfriend, Maggie, says GO JACK! Jack's getting cuter by the second! Can't wait to see him and little Evan soon :)
ReplyDeleteJack is doing so great! And really could he be any cuter?
ReplyDeleteJust found your blog. Jack is ADORABLE and looks like he's doing very well! I love your attitude about walking, too. Yes, he'll get there -- there's not much we can do to make it happen... they'll do it when they're good and ready. But it looks like he's really gearing up for a mobile summer! My little guy is 2 1/2 and about to become a big brother (but he's also a little brother x 3)
