Trouble Thursday

And what did Jack enjoy on his new found bench?  He likes to sit and go in circles by moving his feet.  And he also enjoys watching Baby Signing Times.

Want to know what else Jack is into?
And don't you worry, Jack knows 'feet first' (most of the time) so at least he won't give me too many heart attacks.  I have a feeling that this is just the beginning of having two boys.

What's in a Name?

This is my Great Uncle Evan.  That's me on the end wearing my little Evan at my Great Uncle Evan's 90th Birthday party.  I think you can guess where we got our Evan's name from.  When he's older, we will likely call him Van, just like his Great Great Uncle's nickname.  My Great Uncle Evan is 100% Greek and doesn't he just LOOK like the coolest guy ever?  And he is!

And not to leave anyone out, that is my beautiful Great Aunt Matina next to him and handsome Grandpa Francis.

Another reason why Evan was the perfect name (besides it seeming fit because of the serious looks he already gives) was because of the name meaning.  John means "God is Gracious.'  Jack means 'God is Gracious' and not to leave anyone out, Evan means 'God is Gracious."

Just perfect if you ask me.

Just Evan

I would like to officially say that Evan is no longer colicy.  Hallelujah!

And also Happy 3 Months Evan!

*Note: I waited two weeks for this announcement JUST to make sure.
Happy Friday everyone!

Lake Weekend

Last weekend we went up to the Lake.  It was unseasonably hot, so we spent most of the time in the shade.  Except for poor John who got his shoulders quite toasted.  And there's something about the water that is so relaxing and yet tiring at the same time.  We all went to bed early after we watched some fireworks.  Evan even slept well: eight hours one night and then (2) six hour stretches the next. OMG!  I should have taken a picture of THAT for evidence, because he hasn't done it since (of course!) and I don't have a single photo of him from the entire weekend.  Woops!  Poor Evan.  Number two always gets the shaft.

Surfing USA

Evan is just going crazy with his new activities.  Now he is testing out the surfboard...I mean tummy time mat.

"Let's go surfin' now.  Everybody's learning how.  Come on and safari with me!"

And for those that are wondering, YES, that is Evan's real hair.  NO, we do not put any product in it and NO it is not a wig.  It's pretty rockin' if you ask me!

Happy Friday folks!

Bumbo and Brothers

Evan tried out the Bumbo seat for the first time.  I think he dug it.  You can't tell by the look on his face, but I know he is just squealing with joy inside.  Can't you tell?

And here's one of the two brothers!
 typical Jack....and typical Evan =)

I love my boys.

Play Date

The story of Jack and Jimmy:
Two boys met when they were babies.  Their Moms became quick close friends.  They had play dates and lots of fun.  They learned to smile, laugh, sit, crawl, sign and are growing up to be the most handsome dynamic duo!  Parents, bolt your doors!  Girls, watch out!  Here's Jack and Jimmy!

 July 2010
(it's so hard to get a photo of two squirming boys - notice the help of Mom's knee)

(got one of you - now Jimmy turn around)

(Jack reading Jimmy the book)

(and now Jimmy's turn)

*For those that are wondering why my kiddo is pantless.  He just drank a whole juice container and then peed through his pants.  It's a daily occurrence, so you'd think I would have learned by now.

And now catch a 'Back to the Future' glimpse way back in May 2009
(how cute are they?!)

Happy Friday everyone!
