First Sign!

Just this week Jack started signing "doggy." Yay! His first sign wasn't any of the mealtime signs we've been working on for months, like "eat, more, milk or drink." He does comprehend those signs, just hasn't made the sign himself yet. His first sign was doggy! Go figure! Check out the video and please excuse the annoying "Mommy" voice in the background.

My Little Giggle Monster

Here is a video of Jack and his Daddy. What a giggle machine! His laugh is so darn cute and watch how he catches me filming him. Hmm, we may have a little actor in our house. I can just hear the little director in his head "perform, take a cute look at the camera, perform, catch the camera with a smile, perform, oh my Daddy's so funny, perform, oh Mommy's so pretty." Ha! Whether he chooses to become an actor, a drummer or a contortionist, either way, he sure fills our house with joy.

Mobile Pics

Here are some recent photos taken. Now they aren't that great of quality because they were taken by my cell phone, but they are still pretty cute and I wanted to share, since this is only my second blog post in 2010.

I thought this one was funny because with all the toys in the room, Jack found our dog's crate the most enjoyable toy. Who needs a pack-n-play when you have a dog crate?! Ha!

He also enjoys his new tent. And so do our cat and dog. There is so much hair in that tent now! Can you tell he is clapping?

A local parent support group, UPS for DownS hosted a swim party. It was quite fun. John and Jack especially had a blast! It was so nice getting out of the zero degree weather and getting into a heated pool.

Happy New Year

We had a great night staying in last night. We made our traditional New Year's Eve fondue dinner: cheese fondue with bread and apples, main course fondue with shrimp, chicken and steak with lots of yummy sauces and chocolate dessert fondue with strawberries and bananas. It was SO good and I'm evening getting hungry for it again, as I type this. Jack tried the bread and cheese, he missed the meat because the oil took too long to heat up and his tummy just couldn't wait, but he loved the chocolate covered bananas! Yum!

I wish you all a very happy and healthy New Year! 2009 was a great year. Bring on 2010. I'm excited and ready!
